Usually the iTunes free Single of the Week jibes me exactly the wrong way. Either it’s something out of an iPod commercial, a popstar in sophisticated clothing, or some musical cousins of my most hated band- Maroon fucking 5.
I don’t know if there was a change of management, or if someone over there got hit with the Good Taste Stick, but this week’s single is sublime.
As if the album cover wasn’t brilliant enough, this Phoenix-meets-BeeGees-meets-Prince song is the perfect soundtrack to New York’s blindingly short spring.
So open up your iTunes store and nab it, before Maroon 545 replaces it.
