So a few days ago, I went to the local indie film theater to check out the latest craze (and by craze I mean no one at all knows, except for like ten people,) Slumdog Millionaire. And let me say…whoa. I mean, it was one of those times where I’m sitting in this uncomfortable theater, with seats that don’t recline, and armrests that don’t raise, claustrophobic as f*ck. And halfway through the movie I think to myself, “Damn, this movie is good!” Yeah…one of those moments. I had a similar experience when I saw City Of God the first time, and Anchorman the seventh or eighth time, and Napoleon Dynamite the first time with a group of friends.
Quick summary: Okay, so the story is based around “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” Yes. The game show. In India. A kid…a poor kid…a slumdog wins. Gets every question right. How’d he do it…ahhh therein lies the story, dear friends.
I rate this movie…a bazillion. Note: I tend to be a sensationalist, so a bazillion is like a 90, to normals.
I remember that moment from City of God too- just sitting back and thinking HOLY SHIT- this movie is AMAZING.

Oh Man I was totally going to review this without seeing it!
AND I was going to say it’s like the thing with “City of God” where I watched the first half twice but really was kind of uncomfortable and don’t really care enough to finish watching it…

OMG…I started writing a review of this movie. Way to take my post. Anyway, this movie is amazing. Everyone go see it. Highlights include the main character wading head deep through shit to get an autograph. no joke, but it is really funny. Need I say more. See it. You will like it.
